Torii night table

The design was conceived observing the geometric relationship of the Torii, traditional Japanese portals where the vertical element (hashira) meets the horizontal elements (kasagi and nuki) forming a specific angle and a sensation of slenderness. All the elements of the object communicate with each other with a set of inclinations and roundings: the solid oak surface supports the drawer, almost floating in the air, while the legs pass through it and its section remains visible.
